My name is Audrey. I’ve spent years blogging, mostly behind the carefully curated confines of a Livejournal f-list and then in the tangled tags on Tumblr. Ever since I wrote a short story based on a scenario my friends and I acted out on the playground where we were princess sisters, I’ve loved to write. I still love fiction (and I believe–with many great authors–that fiction is a very powerful kind of truth-telling), but my aim now is to share stories from my life. My hope is that there are readers who will find my thoughts and experiences resonate with them, or at least give them something worthwhile to think about. I’m single, in my early thirties, and a Christian, and those are three important facts. They make up the primary perspective from which I’ll be blogging. I’ll try my best not to be serious all the time. After all, life is meant to be enjoyed! There’s plenty to gripe and moan about and plenty of genuinely awful stuff that’s worth grieving over, but it’s not all bad. I believe in a God who makes good even out of the worst, and that’s what this blog is all about. The sun will continue to shine, even here in the shadowlands.
